Hi ,
Nearly half the country believes that the new government haven't done anything positive in its first hundred days and 6 in 10 disapprove of the government. While being a round number doesn't necessarily make this measure any more significant than the first 99 days (the Cadbury flake measure) or the first 101 days (the Dalmatian measure), there has been a clear change in the public mood over this time.
People are demanding real change as soon as possible. There's both optimism and anxiety in this. The good news is, we have no time to waste! The bad news, we have no time to waste.
Starting today, we're asking for your help writing to MPs about our new Early Day Motion on commencing the socio-economic duty. Together with the General Federation of Trade Unions, we think commencing this section of the Equality Act 2010 across the rest of the UK for the first time – and doing it in a just way – could make equality real. 16 MPs from across our parties and nations have already signed, and the best way to add to that number is for you to write to them.
